I began my work as a dog trainer by volunteering as a Puppy Raiser with Guiding Eyes for the Blind in NY. Since relocating to CA, I have had experience with all types of dog training, including Basic Obedience, Advanced Off Leash Obedience, Tricks and Agility, Pet Therapy, and Behavioral Modification. I specialize in difficult aggressive dogs, child and dog interactions, and rehabilitation of abused dogs. I am available for Evaluations, Group Classes, and Private Lessons. As a volunteer trainer for New Leash On Life animal rescue, I am consulted on training and behavioral issues that may arise with dogs that are residing at the rescue. I am also the Director of the Lend A Paw Program. Lend a Paw is a Therapy Dog program in which dogs are rescued from shelters and trained and certified for therapy work. I work with choosing these dogs from the shelters and manage their training once in our facility. I also run group classes for people who want to certify their own dogs to be therapy dogs. Once trained, I evaluate these dogs and certify them. I also set up visitations in various facilities including Hospice, Nursing Homes, Schools, Children\'s Courts, and Homeless Shelters.
