Description

This 2 day Animal Assisted Education Course provides participants with the fundermental knowledge of Animal Assisted Intervention with focus on Canine interventions in educational settings. The carriculums inludes: Foundation for understanding Animal Assisted Education, Humane Education, Relationship between Animal and Children, AAE for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Preventing Zoonosis, Welfare of therapy dogs in educational settings, Education Law and classes, Training and Handling Therapy dogs, Understanding Canine Ethology. Work shops: The role of dog in AAE, Handling therapy dogs, Evaluation of therapy dogs, How to incorporate therapy dogs in academic subjects.
