Description

Bond-Based Choice Teaching® Bond-Based Choice Teaching® (BBCT) is a radically new approach to facilitating a great relationship between dogs and their people. BBCT was developed in response to the new information scientists around the world have released showing dogs to be sentient social beings who form attachments that are similar in many ways to those formed by preverbal children. The development of a secure attachment between dog and person gives dogs the desire to behave in ways pleasing to their people, while also giving them the confidence to learn and do astonishing things, such as answering questions and reasoning by exclusion. While BBCT was originally developed as a philosophical and educational framework for assistance dogs and their partners, it is proving to be remarkably successful for all dogs and their people. Our studies show that dogs taught using Bond-Based Choice Teaching® learn faster and are more reliable than those taught using other methods. These dogs are also more confident and less reactive. We are also seeing tremendous improvement with dogs who have aggression issues. In this seminar, you will learn how to define, recognize, and facilitate a secure attachment. You will learn how to utilize the power of social learning and social influence in behavior acquisition and management. You will also be shown specific developmental exercises in the Cognitive, Socio-Emotional and Physical domains designed to initiate and assure success. You will also see how BBCT can help solve and prevent behavior issues. Finally, you will discover why allowing dogs to truly make choices can change everything you thought you knew about how dogs think and feel. Dog owners and trainers are telling us their dogs are happier and learning faster since they began using BBCT. Among the best things about BBCT is that it’s so much fun for people and dogs…so compliance isn’t an issue. Join us to learn more about the new philosophy that can change the world for dogs and the people who love them. This seminar is beneficial for anyone who interacts with dogs.
