Description

There are differences and similarities, nationally and globally, between the dog populations admitted to animal shelters. Similarities can include some common behavioral challenges including increased levels of anxiety and arousal, increased reactivity and dog to dog aggressive tendencies. This talk will look at the use of behavior training, and where successes and failures are seen, as well as highlighting areas where further understanding is needed to better to tackle the prevention and treatment for these dogs while in the shelter environment
