Description

Training a dog that gets frustrated easily can be challenging and make us feel desperate or incompetent at times. We have all been told to ask the dog for behaviors such as sitting before eating, staying until allowed to go out the door, and so on. But what if a dog gets so frustrated that he can't even listen to our cues? This webinar's purpose is to provide us with tools to train an easily frustrated dog without our own patience being tried to the limit, while avoiding the use of aversives as a last resort. Webinar Objectives How to recognize frustration in a dog The most common causes of frustration The application of differential schedules of reinforcement in the training process How to set the easily frustrated dog up for success The nuts and bolts of teaching the easily frustrated dog to: loose leash walk, stop mouthing and jumping on visitors, control himself when wanting food or a toy, not run out a door or gate.
