Training Meister – Mastering Fun and Increasing Your Team Knowledge and Skills Journeyman Webinar Two aims to increase the knowledge and training skills of both pet dog guardians and pet professionals. You will learn about the science behind the training as well as many of the skills needed to train a pet dog, with a big emphasis on enjoyment. We firmly believe that all training should be fun but knowledge based. We also believe in setting the learner up for success. This applies both to our human learners and their canine buddies Learning Objectives for Journeyman Webinar Three Master different reinforcement strategies, including: To mouth/in position Placement Throw to catch Flick/toss (to right/to left/behind/ in front of learner) Run and Get it! Go beyond the clicker and a verbal marker - Master the appropriate use of different bridging stimuli Master effective use of secondary reinforcers Understand how the trainer’s behavior and demeanor affects the reinforcer Gain a deeper understanding of primary and secondary reinforcers Understand schedules of reinforcement Develop a greater understanding of how both delivery and placement of the reinforcer will aid or hinder your training session You will also learn how to teach the following 'tricks'/behaviors: Close - Finish to handler's left side Come - A Training Meister Recall Go Hide - Go our of sight, behind an object (A fun way to exercise pet dogs)
