Description

This seminar will present the "New and Improved" Click to Calm techniques to help rehabilitate and manage dogs that are reactive to both people and other dogs.Through clicker training, it is possible to shape a dog's emotion from one of fear and uncertainty to one of courage and confidence. Through a comprehensive Powerpoint presentation, and selected videos, attendees will learn the following: how to shape a dog's emotion from calamity to calmness, why preventing the rehearsal of the behavior is so important, how to provide the structure at home that the dog needs to flourish and how to keep the dog safe when the dog is in formerly challenging situations. Foundation behaviors will also be included. Attendees will have all of the information that they will need to either work with their own reactive dogs or set up a training plan for one of their private students.
