As professional trainers it can be difficult sometimes to really assess how effective we are! We get stuck in ruts and find ourselves repeating the tried and true. Yet when we take ourselves out of the old framework and move into a new context fresh learning begins! Get inspired, regroup, reassess and recoup your motivation for training in this fun two-day workshop. Tune-up your skills while having heaps of fun learning a new sport. Participate in behavior analysis exercises where you will learn how to baseline, track and analyze training data. We offer a safe non-judgmental and enjoyable learning environment, whatever stage of your career you are at! Bring your dog and enjoy active sessions and learning or audit and be an integral part of the behavior analysis, tracking and data interpretation. In this workshop you will learn: How to finesse and fine tune your training mechanics. Bridging efficiency, reinforcement delivery and timing Slicing & dicing behaviors Situational awareness Building positive associations Learn the two key strategic training systems to increase your effectiveness and efficiency as a trainer and an instructor. * Learn how to apply the Train - Test - Train System of criteria building for pets and their owners * Become proficient at the On-Task-Skill Coaching system of effective people training How to baseline, and track behavior change to ensure training is taking place using a two-day scientific study based on your own performances We will determine baseline behavior. Monitor training sessions and track competencies Chart behavior output and determine success rates Analyze results How to functionally analyze new skills and break them into criteria to enhance learning for all students, canine and human. How to effectively perform and teach others to train dogs around key agility equipment. How to plan, review and revise training sessions. How to restart and revamp your skills, motivation and individual effectiveness. How to effectively integrate two pieces of affordable Agility equipment into your ‘pet manners’ classes increasing fun and learner retention for both human and pet.
