Description

The workshop will focus on behavior, some bodywork, and fitness exercises such as backing up, hind-leg targeting, etc to increase body awareness and therefore confidence. This workshop is aimed at middle-age and active dogs. Two-day seminar will cover: *Bodywork for behavior, health, and performance *Empowerment, the power of choice in behavior *Observation skills *Foundation behaviors for life, e.g. mat work, veterinary prep *Movement and its benefits, e.g. focus *The importance of proprioception, i.e. knowing where your body is during movement *Fitness exercises for life and performance, e.g. backing up and hind-leg targeting, side-stepping *How to support the aging process, through training and movement *How to improve your dog's confidence and focus The course material will be conveyed by Power Point presentations, video, demos and hands-on work with people and dogs. Lori Stevens teaches 100% of the course.
