Description

Cats can be medicated and, not only that, but often in a fun and positive way (yes, it’s true!). This session will discuss everything from proper pilling techniques to a wide variety of tricks to get cats to accept their medications. This is not just about giving pills, though; we will also review strategies to assist with subcutaneous injections, fluid therapy, and blood glucose readings. From the exam to room to home, the key is to be equipped with a variety of options, so that clients know they can come to you for alternatives if something is not working. This lecture will provide myriad troubleshooting options for whatever challenges you are experiencing. NOTE: This session is offered as continuing education programming during the Midwest Veterinary Conference.
