Description
Choosing pet food has become a moral and lifestyle choice for some clients. This session will differentiate between emotional and rational approaches to client communication and explain why our perspectives about choosing pet food differ from those of our clients. Suggestions for helping clients with both emotional and rational concerns related to "unconventional" foods will also be offered. Finally attendees will learn how to use effective communication skills to help clients choose a satisfactory diet that fits with their nutritional believes to the extent possible. This session is offered as part of continuing education programming during the Midwest Veterinary Conference.
