Description
This day long hands-on workshop will cover the foundations of animal learning and behavior that are essential for trainers to know; operant, classical conditioning, identifying R+ R-, P+ P-, antecedent arrangements, motivating operations, reinforcement rates and schedules, building efficient training plans, reinforcement mechanics and delivery, evolutionary and genetic causes and creation of behavior in canines. Power point presentations, group activities and dog training will be combined to introduce novice trainers to key components of dog training, and more experienced trainers will have the opportunity to hone their skills, and expand their understanding and education.
