Starts September 19th, 2016, meets online Monday evenings at 8:00 pm Eastern •Are you new to cat behavior consulting? •Are you already consulting and looking for advice regarding more advanced cases? •Are you looking for help with specific cases, or kinds of cases? Wherever you are in your cat behavior consulting career, IAABC is pleased to offer a first-ever opportunity in the industry: a cat behavior consulting mentorship. This program will explore evaluating, resolving, and managing problem feline behaviors through guided online discussions, sample case studies, video analysis, useful handouts, and more. Some of the topics to be addressed include: - Taking effective case studies - Building your toolbox - Client communication - Remote consults - Cat-cat relationships - Cat-dog relationships - Cat-human relationships - Litterbox aversion - Destructive scratching - and your own cases and questions Working with mentor Katenna Jones (ScM, ACAAB, CCBC, CDBC, CPDT-KA), you'll be able to ask questions about your own cases past and present, glean ideas from other mentees, receive handouts, view video presentations, and meet weekly for face-to-face live, on-line group support. Katenna has 15 years' experience working professionally with cats and dogs, has served as a behaviorist for the American Humane Association, contracts out with the ASPCA during hoarding, fight and cruelty busts as a behaviorist, and has deep experience working with both cats and dogs in shelter and private home settings. Among her other certifications Katenna is an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist through the Animal Behavior Society, and a Certified Cat and Dog Behavior Consultant through the IAABC.
