Description

Agility Skills for Fun and Confidence Agility is the most popular dog sport being practiced today. And while training a dog for an agility competition may take months or even years of practice and dedication, navigating basic agility obstacles and concepts is an easy task that most dog/handler teams can pick up rather quickly! This DVD will explore how Agility can offer a fun experience for your clients, while helping them expend their dogs’ excess energy and build confidence. In this DVD, Nicole will introduce you to the following concepts: • How and why teaching an agility for fun course to your clients should differ from teaching agility at a competitive level. • How to get your clients addicted to agility (and training in general!) so that the dog/handler team is progressing, having fun in a safe way, and coming back week after week. • How to build a shy or timid dog’s confidence through the use of agility obstacles in training. • How to hold an agility class, even if you don’t have your own agility course to work on. • A sample curriculum for a 6-week Introduction to Agility class for pet dog owners. So grab your treat pouch and put on your running shoes, You’re about to introduce your clients to the fast paced and fun world of canine agility!
