Description

Perspective taking is the ability to understand that other individuals have access to different information about the world than you do. This is important because it drives behavior, but it is also a requirement of self-awareness. This talk will examine on recent paper on perspective taking in wolves, pet dogs and shelter dogs. Specifically, how do they decide which person to attend to? Do shelter dogs perform as well as wolves or owned dogs? We will discuss the results and their applications to working with dogs.
