Description

Program Description: This program will give students a deeper understanding of canine behavior from a consultant standpoint. Beyond basic training, behavior consulting is about helping clients discover what causes issues to arise, how to recognize triggers and ways to address behaviors of concern. Students will be able to conduct an interview, create a case information file, and develop a behavior modification plan. This program will focus on aggressive behaviors; dog-dog and dog-human. Program Objectives: At the completion of this program the student should be able to: 1. demonstrate how to conduct an initial behavior analysis interview 2. demonstrate how to create a case information file 3. demonstrate how to develop a behavior modification plan 4. demonstrate how to assist clients in implementing the behavior modification plan 5. demonstrate competency in making adjustments to behavior modification plan 5. demonstrate a working understanding of canine behavior
