The Canid Quartet: Behavior of Wolves, Foxes, Coyotes, & Dogs Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, 2017 Join us and deepen your understanding of canid behavior! Spend three whole days immersed in comparative behavior of related canids. Come learn about our canid ambassadors up close and personal. Staff will chaperon participants in with some of our foxes and wolves for several visits (situation permitting). Learn about the similarities and differences between wolves, coyotes, dogs and their more distant relations foxes. How do their similarities and differences help them survive? Do they all talk the same language? How do these North American canids make a living? How do they cope with humans: can they live alongside us or must they avoid us? Does our presence in their habit threaten or help them? How can what we learn about their behavior help us live with them? Come to Wolf Park to find out the answers! Lifelong learning and fun intersect at Wolf Park! Anyone interested in meeting wolves and understanding them better will enjoy learning all about these amazing canids! Wolves are the ancestor of dogs and we can learn a lot about canid behavior from wolves and there cousins. As you learn about wolves, foxes, and coyotes you will also learn what are the true differences and similarities between dogs and their wild relatives. Seminars include three full days of activities.
