Since October 2016 I've been completely an intensive mentorship with Jen Shryock of Family Paws LLC and two other trainers. We meet weekly for 90 minutes to 2 hours in an online classroom. During our meetings we share our ongoing cases, troubleshoot issues, and cover relevant material assigned to us by Jen. We're being trained to become official Family Paws Consultants and are learning how best to instruct our clients remotely. The process we're learning spans all the way from client intake, to video feedback, to managing and navigating our own online classrooms. We mutually contribute to client handouts, presentations, and intake forms. In addition to our weekly classroom meetings, we're required to speak personally to Jen for a total of 3-4 hrs both over the phone and on video chat to keep her abreast of any challenges or issues we encounter throughout the week. This course has taken up the majority of my time available for study and, since my career will be devoted to this niche, I would like to continue to focus my studies with Family Paws.
