Description

Agenda can be sent to show you all courses offered. This seminar is an opportunity to gather significant professionals involving cases of animal cruelty/fighting and learn from our expert panel of speakers. To have successful prosecution in animal cases, all professionals must be educated on the law and procedures, especially the law within their state. Law enforcement, veterinarians, prosecutors, attorneys, judges, animal control officers, shelter staff, animal trainers/behaviorist, rescue and the public compromise the target audience. Without the proper investigation, veterinarians exams, evidence gathering, animal assessments and training, rehabilitation, prosecution and sentencing, a case can fall thought the cracks. As you may know, many Animal Trainer/Behaviorist have ‘zero” training in this area. We know from previous conferences, they responded positively and would like to see more training in this field. Our overall reviews from prior conferences were excellent. Attached is the flyer agenda for the Georgia Animal Law & Shelter Symposium to be held at the Georgia Bar Headquarters on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 8:30 to 4:30. There is a large auditorium and breakout rooms to hold specialized presentations for dog trainers. Our co-sponsors include Prosecuting Association of Georgia, The National Sheriff’s Association, The Georgia Police Officer’s Association of Georgia, Georgia Animal Control Association, and Georgia Veterinary Medical Association among others. As you will see, one of nations finest dog behaviorist and trainer, Victoria Stilwell will be a keynote speaker and present as well. Our presentation will end with a mock trial for all professions. For this 1 day program, breakfast, snack and lunch is included. The fee is very reasonable too. We are seeking approval for the maximum credit hours your organization can provide for attendees and: 1) approve credit hours and provide us with instructions to ensure each Trainer/Behaviorist received their credits. 2) get the word out through your contact list – newsletters, magazines, emails, social media, etc. 3) to allow us to use your logo on our printed materials (optional) 4) let us know if you have any announcement for audience. We can do that during the lunch hour.
